Privacy Policy

Effective: 27 October 2026 · Version: 2

Your ledger stays on your iPhone. Lirenota has no sign-in account or server that receives your reports.

About this policy

This policy covers Lirenota for iPhone and its widgets. Contact us at support@lirenota.tech with questions or privacy requests. Apple, Hugging Face and any cloud provider you choose have their own policies.

Information on your device

Lirenota stores your entries, amounts, currencies, dates, categories, names, notes and report words on your iPhone to provide your records. It also stores files you choose, preferences, reminders, widget summaries and downloaded models. You can track spending without creating an account; optional accounts in the app are financial records, not sign-in accounts.

The app also keeps technical events on the device, such as event types, times, error codes and session identifiers, to support operation and troubleshooting. These events are not sent to Lirenota.

What Lirenota does not collect

Lirenota has no sign-in account and no Lirenota server receives your personal data. We do not use your reports to train models. There are no ads, tracking or analytics SDKs. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. If you email us, we receive your message and email address so we can respond.

When data leaves your device

  • Cloud processing: only if you choose a provider and give permission, report text or recorded audio and relevant instructions or context are sent to OpenRouter, OpenAI or Anthropic, as selected. Providers process and may retain data under their own terms. OpenRouter may route requests to the model provider you select. See AI & Your Data.
  • Model downloads: Hugging Face receives a normal web request, including your IP address and device or network metadata. No report or financial data is sent. The app uses its own read-only repository access key; you do not provide one.
  • Apple services and backups: Apple may provide language downloads and, if enabled by you, device or iCloud backups. Apple's terms and settings apply.

Permissions

  • Microphone and speech recognition: used for reports when you choose to speak; Apple on-device recognition is used when selected and available.
  • Notifications: used for a reminder if you enable it.
  • Photos and files: only items you select in the system picker are added.

Retention and deletion

Entries and attached files remain on your device until you delete the entry or app. Files added during a report but not attached to an entry are removed when the report closes. You can delete entries and accounts, clear learned category choices and account names, remove downloaded models, and delete cloud API keys in Settings.

Deleting the app removes its local ledger, attachments and models. iOS may retain Keychain items after deletion, so delete API keys in Settings first. Backups may retain copies; manage or delete them through Apple's settings. Cloud providers may retain data already sent: use their procedures to request deletion. We retain support correspondence only as needed to respond and meet legal obligations.

Security

App data is kept in private device storage and API keys in the iOS Keychain. iOS device encryption helps protect data when configured. Use a strong device passcode and protect your device and any iCloud or device backups. No system is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

You can view and correct entries in the app and delete data as described above. Cloud permission is remembered; you can withdraw it in Settings at any time. Withdrawal does not undo earlier processing. You can also change system permissions in iOS Settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, or request a portable copy of personal data we hold. Contact us to exercise applicable rights or ask a question. We cannot access your on-device ledger; the app does not currently offer a ledger export. You may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. For data held by a cloud provider, contact that provider too.

Children

Lirenota is not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information can contact us so we can address it. Parents should supervise a child's device use and avoid entering a child's sensitive information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app or law changes. The effective date and version appear at the top. When the document version changes, the app asks you to accept the updated documents again.
